Golden Salted Egg Yolk Cornflakes 黄金鹹蛋黄玉米片

Salted egg yolk, butter,  curry leaves and chili padi are perfect combo. Any recipe won't go wrong when using these ingredients.  When i saw my friend made this, what a brilliant idea, combine all these ingredients with cornflakes. These cornflakes are so addictive , crunchy, salty, sweet, curry aroma and a hint of spicy, so good !

Sweet and Spicy Prawns 嘻哈大笑 (干煎虾碌)

This prawn dish is sticky and fragrant, one can't help licking the sticky and yummy sauce coated on the prawn. And this prawn dish also a common dish that very often served during Chinese New Year as in Cantonese, the word for prawn is Ha (虾); or in Mandarin, it sounds like 哈, which means laughter and happy, Hi Ha Tai Siew .

Sweet and Sour Pig Maw 酸甜猪肚

Hi all, sorry for not updating my blog for almost 2 months. Just realized that my blog also celebrate 10th years anniversary this year. After 10 years , time for me to slow down . I still cooking and baking, mostly bake sourdough , my new favourite ^_^. I still trying out new dishes and new cakes sometime. Like this simple sweet and sour pig maw, a dish that was inspired from a restaurant located at Klang.

Ayam Masak Merah / Malay Spicy Tomato Chicken 马来式番茄辣椒鸡

I love Ayam masak merah !! I have been cooking this nice flavorful Malay dish but have yet to update a proper recipe (brief old recipe in 2009 !!) on my blog. Nice aroma turmeric fried chicken in spicy, hint of sour from tomato and lemongrass sauce, so good !

I have been baking a lot sourdough bread mainly for my family consumption. I have never think of one day i can even supply my homemade sourdough bake to a restaurant. Until Paddington House of Pancakes which is located at the Curves approached me and asked me to supply my homemade sourdough focaccia for their new menu, which will be launched on 3 Nov 2017.

Natural Yeast made with Apple Yeast Water 苹果天然酵母酵種

After i gaining more experiences with making sourdough and soft bread using natural yeast from sourdough starter , then i promised myself to try back apple yeast water which i tried few years back. At that time i didn't continue as i was lacking of experiences and guidance. But today the trend of using natural yeast from sourdough starter or yeast water are increasing, more related information are available. Many people are trying to bake healthy bread for their own consumption that without any addition of chemical substances.

Earl Grey Tea and Strawberry Chiffon Cake 伯爵茶草莓戚风蛋糕

I have quite long didn't bake a chiffon cake as I  have been busy baking with artisan bread sourdough ^_^ . Since i have  Panasonic Electric Oven NB-H3800SSK  , so try it out with a new flavours of chiffon cake that i have been thinking to make, Earl Grey tea and Strawberry, and it seem they are a good combo, nice !

Longan and Walnut Muffin, bake with Panasonic Electric Oven NB-H3800SSK 桂圆核桃马芬

My first bake using Panasonic Electric Oven NB-H3800SSK is dedicated to this Longan and Walnut muffin. This Longan and walnut muffin is very popular in Taiwan. Our Taiwan's hiking friend bought us this muffin for our snack during my recent hiking trip to Jade mountain. Taiwanese is very clever using these two healthy ingredients to create this special muffin. I love the dried longan's natural sweetness in this muffin and also always love walnut in any bakes .

Panasonic is celebrating the launch of the new Panasonic Electric Oven NB-H3800SSK (RRP: RM 669), the latest addition in its electrical appliances section. I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch of this new Panasonic electric oven , held at the One Utama Shopping Mall to preview the functions and ease-of-use of the oven.

Mini rice dumplings 小米粽

Any foods made with glutinous rice always one of my favourite's choice. This mini rice dumpling wrapped with wanton skin idea was inspired from my recent hiking trip at Taiwan. Breakfast that served at Taichung hotel was one of the best during our stay, one of them was this steamed mini rice dumpling.
